At the Virtuous Dance Center, Zumba is a dance fitness program that promotes a healthy lifestyle and makes fitness a natural part of everyone’s life by making it enjoyable. Kids are usually very active from the age of 8 to 12 and Zumba might just be the perfect way to channelize this energy in a fun way. And the best part? Kids can dance to good music and stay fit without even realizing it.

Kids-friendly Zumba routines based on original Zumba choreography are featured in our Zumba sessions. Several years ago, the Zumba juggernaut expanded to include Zumbatomic, a kids-only session. It’s a Zumba-style dancing fitness class for kids, but with age-appropriate music and movements, as well as a focus on “feeling brave on the dance floor.” Zumbatomic is now known simply as Zumba for Kids and is available in two editions. We provide Zumba for kids and early teens.

We deconstruct the steps and incorporate games, activities, and cultural research into the lesson framework. By making exercise enjoyable, Zumba promotes a healthy lifestyle and includes fitness as a natural part of children’s lives. What will your kids learn besides Zumba? They will experience leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, and cultural awareness as well.

If your kids jam to Zumba, it will quickly increase their anaerobic endurance and improve their posture while strengthening their cardiovascular system. We always have kids telling us how fun their Zumba classes are and how they get to socialize with other kids and make friends.

Through specialized exercises like squats and twists, our Zumba classes are an excellent way to keep your kids fit. Normally, a single session burns about 600 to 1000 calories. Keeping the stats aside, our Zumba classes tend to decrease levels of stress for kids as well. They help release endorphins while developing body coordination.

At the Virtuous Dance Center, dance classes are made up of a succession of Latin dance tracks, each with carefully planned dance routines that build on the previous one. The first song has a softer pace to help kids warm up, then the intensity and challenges increase with each song, with a few lower-intensity dance sequences inserted in for recuperation. A cool- down tune concludes the dance class.

Many parents mention how difficult it be’s for kids to stick to a specific dance regimen which is why we have curated more of a fun Zumba session. The more fun a program is, the more likely your kids will stick with it. Our Zumba classes, in general, are a dance party disguised as a workout. Kids who want to have fun via dancing will find Zumba to be a safe, entertaining, and effective workout.
