Kyra Thompson has been interested in the use of dance and the body as a creative expression since a very young age. Her dancing journey began with classical ballet and expanded to include lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and several styles of ballroom dance. She has danced locally at several different studios for over 20 years and taught at The Dance Box for five years. During that time, she discovered a passion for choreography and used that talent in several local presentations for both the dance studios she was a part of and her church, New Life Ministries in Colonial Beach. She’s also used her dancing skills in performances at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts (Fiddler on The Roof, West Side Story) and started an individual worship dance class, Praise Movement. Kyra believes dance to be one of the purest forms of artistic storytelling. Graduating from Liberty University with a degree in journalism and minor in cinematic arts, she continues to pursue her passion for storytelling through writing, film, and choreography. She’s also gained an interest in honing the body’s ability to tell stories leading her to practice yoga, cross-training, running, and several martial arts as hobbies while also using her free time to learn as much as she can about how the human body works. She loves passing on that passion for the beauty and discipline of dance to her students and hopes to inspire their creativity within the art.”

This dance studio is by far the greatest. My daughter attended for the first time last year and she is abosolutely in love with this studio and the loving family that operates it. When the day finally came she was so happy and excited! We love Virtuous Dance Center!

Our 4 year old daughter has been taking acro dance here for a few months now & just loves it. The studios new location is really nice inside. The instructor is really great with the the kids in the class. We look forward to her continuing her classes here.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here. My girlfriend and I attended classes to invest in our dancing interests and could not have had a better time. The staff are very friendly and the studio is a wonderful environment. We will definitely be back for sure!
My Daughter attended Virtuous Dance Center Last year for Summer camp, It was a great experience for her and she loved every minute of it. We plan on being there again this year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you are looking for a summer camp This is a great place to start.
