Ms.Sarah Law began tap dancing at the age of 7 and has barely taken her tap shoes off since. She has experience with contemporary, Jazz, and Modern dance but tap is where her heart belongs. After 10 years of dance classes she began teaching and has taught tap for four years to students ages 5 to 85. Sarah loves teaching and choreographing. His professional career began as a trainee with the Richmond Ballet, later he went on to perform as a Guest Artist with the Latin Ballet of Virginia, Nomad Contemporary Ballet in NYC and Missouri Ballet Theatre. Diontey has performed in The Nutcracker, Giselle, George Balanchine’s Rubies, many original works and has been featured in Mark Morris’s Gloria, Stephanie Martinez’s Transport and Salvatore Aiello’s Sanza Fretta. He was featured as a dancer in ABC’s Holiday Movie “A Christmas Kiss” he's performed with Disney Cruise Line, pop artist Lady GAGA and was also a contestant on season 8 of the hit Fox television show "So You Think You Can Dance". He’s also performed in musicals such as “In the Heights”, "Beauty and the Beast” and in the Off-Broadway production of “The Wild Party. He’s worked with artist such as Virginia Johnson, Keelan Whitmore, Christopher Huggins, Alonzo King, Jennifer Medina, Lorraine Graves and Desmond Richardson. He's choreographed works for Longwood University, Missouri Ballet Theatre, Virginia School of the Arts and has choreographed for "The Wiz", "Seussical", "Fiddler on the Roof”, “Rock of Ages” and “Meet me in St. Louis" at Stagedoor Manor. Diontey's aesthetic is very Neo-Classical with a flare of Contemporary Ballet. He's influenced by Limon, Cunningham, Nikolai, GaGa, and the Balanchine style. This summer he will appear in Virginia Repertory Theatre’s “West Side Story”
Her accomplishments and awards consist of, “Runner-up” & “Judges Choice”- Nova’s Favorite Dancer (2014), “Emerging Choreographer Award”- Virginia Dance Coalition (2014), “1st place”- NOVA Drumline Battle (2013), “Employee of the Month”- Showcase Dance Studio (2013), and placed in top 10% for “Choreography” category- The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) (2004).
Joye’s teaching experience consist of teaching all levels in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Hip Hop. She has taught at Progressions Dance School (2014-2017), Russell School of Ballet (2013-2016), Ravel Dance Studio (2012-2017), Showcase Dance Studio (2011-2013), Joy of Dance (2011-2012), and Jessica Morgan School of Dance (2007-2011).
