SCHOLARSHIPS

Sean Powell Dance Scholarship

Established in 2022 after Sean Powell passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2021.  Sean Powell was a husband, brother, son, cousin, mentor, a friend and mostly importantly a father.

He was proud of his heritage, family, friends and children. Sean was the essence of the spirit and values of a father.   Sean transported Nyah and her dance friends to and from dance, never missed a dance competition, participated in a parent dance off at Nationals, assisted with various fundraising activities. Sean was Nyah’s biggest supporter; he did her make-up; gave song suggestions for choreography, made the best sandwiches during dance conventions and practiced Nyah’s dances with her.

Sean lived a life that was full of joy and happiness. His adventurous attitude, his broad range of interests, and happy demeanor made him a great person to know.  He raised his children and tried to give the best he could offer.

He was mentor to his cousins and looked up as a big brother. Sean was the epitome of be proud of who you are and don’t change for anyone.

With the Sean Powell scholarship your dancer will be able to dance proffesionaly and perform in our dance company team with different levels of funding, from 25% up to 100% full paid tuition to include company fees and dance clothes.
